Director of Strategic Growth

Location: NYC/Remote
Compensation: $90,000-$130,000

Job Purpose

Sologistics is creating a Director of Strategic Growth position to lead the next phase of business development and expansion. The ideal fit will have previous leadership experience and growth-stage entrepreneurial success.

Working closely with the CEO to innovate and scale our work in an exciting high-growth phase of our clean energy & tech company; exploring the opportunities regionally, nationally, and internationally.

The Director of Strategic Growth will evolve Sologisitcs’ medium and long-term business strategy and oversee the implementation of business goals. This person will identify key areas for business growth, develop new business opportunities, and execute strategy.

They will create, lead, and implement strategies for business development to expand the current existing relationships and growth trajectory. Help advance profitable and equitable clean energy development. Work with a diverse, inclusive, and experienced team of solar energy and IT professionals in a flexible, fast-paced remote work environment.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate with the CEO in forecasting and identifying areas for growth

  • Conduct market research

  • Manage implementation of strategic growth plans

  • Work with the marketing team to align thought leadership and marketing efforts

  • Foster and maintain excellent working relationships with industry partners

  • Stay current on solar and renewable energy industry news, policy, and market trends

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial growth-stage environment

  • Strong understanding of or experience in the solar and renewable energy industry, preferably in New York State

  • Strong leadership skills, effective time management, & an ability to work across all levels of the company

  • Independently assesses challenges and creatively problem solve

  • Previous experience with Salesforce CRM preferred

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional work in corporate strategy or business development consulting

  • Experience in renewable energy or New York solar industry preferred

  • Experience leading and advancing start-up business development

  • Located in or willing to relocate to the Greater New York City area

Hours and Travel

This is currently a primarily remote position but this is subject to change

Reports to

The Director of Strategic Growth reports to the CEO

Eligibility

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US at the time of application.

Start Date

Ideally, the post holder will commence as soon as possible after the interview process.
