The Project
This 20-panel system was completed on a residential multifamily building in Queens, NY in 2020. This grid-tied PV system on a two-story 45 degree pitched roof was eligible for solar property tax abatement and a NYSERDA rebate providing further financial savings.
The Sologistics Difference
On this project, Sologistics provided the following services: Design Review, Engineer Review & Stamp, Asbestos Inspection, Permit Application, and Utility Application. For the Design Review service, a Sologistics design specialist reviewed pre-existing plans for the PV layout and provided revisions as necessary to ensure code compliance. Once the solar design has been approved by a design specialist, the engineer reviews, approves, and stamps the planset. For this project, Sologistics also completed the asbestos inspection, which is required for solar permits on older buildings. For the interconnection application with Con Edison, the utility, Sologistics filed to receive system design approval prior to project installation and finally permission to operate in conjunction with the grid at project completion. The guidance Sologistics provided from design review to project closeout, allowed the project to pass all required electrical and building inspections and receive approval for the homeowner to utilize and enjoy the benefits of their solar PV system.
