Job Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for oversight of all Sologistics’ Delivery & Process Optimization functions and provides direct oversight of the Sologistics Delivery team. The Operations Manager ensures that all operational processes stay within agreed upon budgets and timelines, are not in violation of any AHJ regulations, and are meeting the terms mutually agreed upon with clients. This person works closely with the Human Resource Manager to ensure the proper staffing of the Delivery team, and supports the CEO in forecasting, strategy, and standardization of all aspects of operations. In addition, the Operations Manager will advise, mentor, discipline, and assess the Delivery Team, with responsibilities including but not limited to conducting weekly meetings, monitoring reports, and providing regular feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage an efficient project lifecycle; recommend and implement ongoing improvements to maintain said efficiency

  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends

  • Provide technical advice and proposals to the CEO on matters pertaining to operational improvements

  • Continuously monitor and report on progress within Salesforce towards the approval and finalization of projects.

  • Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel and discipline the delivery team

  • Case management, assignment and triage

  • Monitor and manage the tasks assigned to the delivery team

  • Work closely with Human Resources to plan and review compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures

  • Monitor staff and contract labor levels and advise for adjustments based on the current pipeline

  • Maintain regular communication with AHJs to ensure the smooth implementation of projects.

  • Foster and maintain excellent working relationships with Clients and operate as their point of escalation.

  • Communicate customer issues with Delivery team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints

  • Assist in the preparation of bid submissions for RFQs and RFPs as necessary

  • Determine staff KPIs and work with them to achieve agreed upon targets

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

  • Communicate with legal counsel to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA and other governmental regulation

  • Attend meetings in person and online on behalf of CEO

  • Ad hoc tasks that may be assigned by the CEO.

Skills

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the relevant AHJs’ processes and requirements as they pertain to the installation of solar.

  • Knowledge of online sources of information that pertain to the solar industry that may assist in the approval of projects in relevant states.

  • Willingness to research and learn new developments within the industry

  • Knowledge and experience of change management methodologies

  • Strong leadership skills, including effective time management, prioritizing and delegation.

  • Ability to work well under pressure with tight timelines for completion of projects

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum three years experience within the NYC Solar industry required

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

  • Located within a commutable distance to New York City

Certifications

  • Licensed as a Notary in NY State is preferable.

  • Registered as a DOB filing representative in NY State is preferable.

  • Project Management certification is preferred

Eligibility
